Stauffer Design Co. Joins the Jr. League Fall Home Tour
Over the summer, just as I’d gotten started on the Highland House Project, I was contacted by Emily Hertzog Springfield, Missouri Jr. League Fall Home Tour Chair. Emily asked if I’d like to participate in the 2021 Fall Home Tour by being one of the homes on the tour that year. I thought, “oh boy, Jake will LOVVVVVE that.” I imagined the honey do list that I would need to create that my extremely patient and helpful husband might be less than excited about: Paint the upstairs guest room, replace all the dead plants in the flower beds, order all new furniture, etc., etc.
I was surprised when he decided to go along with it and it probably helped being in my profession to realize that there were going to be a few limitations on what I would be able to accomplish before the tour began. Meaning, the new living room sofa that I’ve had designed in my head for the past year wasn’t going to make the deadline and I was ok with that. I’m so honored to have been asked to participate in the tour and I am so excited to share my home with the wonderful guests of the Jr. League of Springfield (I recently joined the league myself so this will be a fun way to get acquainted with this fine group).
About the Fall Home Tour
Each year, 50 tickets are sold for a self-guided tour through six of Springfield’s most beautiful homes as support of the mission of the Junior League of Springfield. For a little extra on your Saturday, you can purchase the VIP ticket which takes you to an exclusive home (btw: that’s mine this year) where you will be treated to a mimosa bar and a catered lunch. At the VIP event you will also be invited to participate in the AR Workshop’s fun fall craft. Only 50 VIP tickets are available, so act quick. The event takes place 10-2 on September 25, 2021.
But wait, there’s more: that evening you are invited to the Fall Home Tour AFTER PARTY! Live music, more great food, and lots of fun! Grab your tickets to the Fall Home Tour After Party sponsored by Mother’s Brewing Company! The party starts at 5:30 p.m. and is open to EVERYONE age 21 and over so bring the whole gang! This outdoor party will feature live music and more.
The 2021 Fall Home Tour takes place September 25th from 10-2 and the after party is at 5:30 pm.
I’m so excited for the Jr. League Fall Home Tour. Emily has done a great job putting the event together and it will be so great to meet new faces and see familiar faces too. I can’t wait to see the other homes (once my tour is completed and I’m looking forward to tasting delicious food and listening to live music under the starry lights! Get your tickets and come with me!
